| 1:07.5 | That my mom's, I don't know, great-grandparents, they moved to Michigan in, I don't know, something like 1834, before it was a state. |

| 1:22.0 | And they came across this lake, Lake Nepassing is what it's called, |
| 1:28.7 | checked in with the Native people and said, hey, you know, would you mind if we just set up camp here? |

| 1:40.3 | No, I mean, my family and the other five families were all, they were all good people and in fact once they gave the Indians typhoid or whatever disease white people brought to this continent. |

| 1:58.0 | They want to get near the Indians with their typhoid, |
| 2:01.0 | because they got the typhoid. |
| 2:03.5 | For some reason, the white people didn't have it, |
| 2:05.8 | or they had the virus. |
| 2:07.3 | I don't know the story. |
| 2:08.8 | This is all science back in the early 1800s. |
| 2:11.9 | Suffice it to say, the poor native people, you know, half the tribe came down with it. |
| 2:18.4 | They're on the other side of the lake. They let the white people camp out on the on the southern shore of the lake. |
