I came across this. Imagine George Mueller on his knees in a room filled with empty plates,

surrounded by children with nothing to eat. Every day he prayed without asking anyone for funds,

and every day God provided. Over his lifetime, Mueller cared for over 10,000 orphans,

trusting God alone to meet every need, and his words resonate still. What did he say? The orphan who has

no earthly father has a heavenly one who will not forsake them. There is a special place in the heart,

if you may use that term, and God concerning the orphans and the widows, those who are in need of help.

So many times I go before the Lord.

And I said, Lord, I don't have an answer. I don't have a solution. I don't know what to do.

I feel like I'm just kind of meandering. I'm wandering. Help. Remember Peter, when he began to sink in the water, he did not pontificate on this huge, eloquent prayer.

It was just help.

And so many times, orphans and the widows and the elderly, it's just like, I don't know what to say.

I don't know what to do.

Where am I going to go for help?

And then up comes Christ, up comes God to deliver them.

And this is why it is such a special place, and God's hurt for us

to take care of those.

There are some things that never enter your mind, friends, because they're not even remotely feasible.

You don't worry about a tsunami in Kansas. You don't worry about a tsunami in Kansas.

You don't worry about a blizzard in Death Valley.

You don't worry about a lack of eggs in Ray Comfort's house.

And all of that to say, France, that I've never had to worry about ticks in California

until my beautiful wife brought one home
