My first recollections of John Kerry were as a young Navy veteran and Vietnam war hero

who become one of the most powerful critics of that war in the early 70s.

He of course went on to become a Senator of Secretary of State and very nearly president

of the United States.

I sat down with Secretary Kerry for my CNN TV show tonight.
