Welcome to the Plodcast, episode 30.

Good to have you with you, good to have you with me here as you accompany me through these

broadcasts. It's wonderful. I appreciate your steadiness. I appreciate the fact that

you have not turned back. Here we are, 30 episodes in.

So I wanted this episode to talk about the Nunez memo.

Devon Nunez is a congressman, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and at the time of this recording there is a big hubbub going over the memo

that he and others on that committee drafted and and they went through a process to have the information

declassified and then released to the public and it's just a four-page memo

but it basically shows all kinds of,

reveals all kinds of dirty deeds in the last presidential election.

And those dirty deeds basically amount to the weaponization or the

politicizing of our intelligence agencies.

So the Justice Department and the FBI

were involved in circulate, using. circulate using their intelligence capacity to spy on a political campaign for political purposes, with the political end in view, which is a monumental

corruption, foundational corruption, and all the indications are that what we have seen thus far is just the beginning of what's going to come out.

There's going to be a lot more coming out. And I'd like to make a point about this. Of course, the point is not to defend any of the bad things that have been revealed, the dirty deeds that have been

revealed, but rather to maybe reframe or recast what we're up against.

One of the phrases that has caught on in the,

in recent months within the last year is the phrase,

the deep state. And I would like to I guess admonish or urge people

who use the phrase the deep state to be aware what they're saying and to be careful about it.
