this is your first podcast, I welcome you too. We've talked a lot about eating negative emotions. And today I want to talk

about the exact opposite. I want to talk to you about why you want to disconnect from yourself

when you're feeling positive emotions. I've had a lot of clients lately in my group

and individually who have had a lot of incidents where they're talking about how when they feel

happy because they thought from listening to me that it was just the negative emotions that they

were eating. But they've come

to realize, and I'm sure you might have realized this by now too, that it's not just the negative

emotions, it's also the positive emotions. This podcast is dedicated to all the positive emotions and why you would want to choose to eat mindlessly

when you're happy. Let's start with why would you want to disconnect from yourself when you're feeling

positive emotions? And I think while I have you think about

this, I'm going to give you some examples from one of my individual clients and also from one of my

clients that is in my group right now who also had a similar experience. I want to go over
