But welcome back to an abridged episode of Monoccycled.

We are going to be talking this week very, very briefly about gratitude because here we have Thanksgiving popping up on the imminent horizon.

And I think that now is as good a time as any to talk about what we're thankful for.

Am I right? I think I'm right. Do you think I'm right?

One of my very favorite things about audio is that you can't answer if you disagree.

But let's get into it.

On Thanksgiving, I'm supposed to be thankful.

If the things that you're thankful for, the things that Hallmark essentially says you should be thankful for,

which are health, family, and friends, sit down with those things.

Think about your family.

Think about what you love about them, what you hate about them, what you would do if they weren't there,

how you would reconcile that, And slowly, things start to make

sense in your head. This past Sunday, I hadn't heard from my brother in like 36 hours and nobody

could get a hold of him. And I swear for just one minute, I thought that something terrible had

happened to him because the last time we spoke, he said he had a splitting headache and was about

to take a nap. 36 hours later, no one had heard from him. I called his doorman. The doorman said he hadn't left

the apartment. I was like, oh my God, this guy had an aneurysm. He's dead. There's just no way he's

alive. And all of a sudden, these crazy thoughts started rushing through my head. First, First I was like, I wish I told him that I'm so proud of him, that his jewelry is incredible,

I wish I wore it more, I wish I would have been able to give him better advice, I wish I would have been there more.

And then he texted me back and was like, hey, sorry I was sleeping.
