Hey everybody, this is Matt from Infants on Thrones.

And recently, the other infants put out some

episodes on who wrote the Book of Mormon. They were pretty great even though I

wasn't on them. The reason I wasn't on them was because I simply had no interest in the topic.

My fellow quorum members and the guests, John Hamer, and Craig Crittle were interesting, thoughtful, and entertaining.

I was actually pretty surprised at my disinterest in the topic.

It made me realize that I might actually be getting to a point

where I'm beyond caring about Mormonism.

Or at least about who wrote the Book of Mormon.

To me, it's kind of like talking about who would win in a fight between Spider-Man or Batman.

I started to wonder that if I don't care about something as fundamental as who wrote the book of Mormon,

then maybe I'm not just ex-Morman or former Mormon, but maybe I'm actually beyond Mormonism.

And then the October 2013 General Conference happened.

Yes, General Conference, a biannual conference where the leaders of the Mormon Church gather

and broadcast what they have to say via radio, cable, and internet.

Talks that are received as revelation to active warmance throughout the world, but what ends up being

about 10 hours of empty platitudes and stories or ideas that have been told time and

time again.

But this conference was going to be different, because after all, I'm now beyond Mormonism.
