talking scripture. I'm Mike and I'm Bryce and today we're going to be talking about the book of Mormon we are we're going to be doing the book of Mormon and this

podcast is going to be about the title page to the book of Mormon and the introduction and I want to start off first reading

the first part of the introduction where it talks about it's an abridgment of the record of

Nefai and then skip down to the middle of the second paragraph there in the title page in the

purpose of the Book of Mormon it says is to show unto the remnant of the House of Israel

a couple of things.

Number one, what great things the Lord hath done for their fathers,

that they may too know the covenants of the Lord

and that they're not cast off forever,

and to the convincing of the Jew and the Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the

eternal God manifesting himself unto all nations. And so there's a lot of

purposes in there. We want to know the covenants. We want to know that we're not cast off that the Lord's done some things for us and to know that Jesus is the Christ but Bryce what can you say about the idea that's portrayed in the Book of Mormon about

Jesus manifesting himself to all nations?

We almost always put a period there.

So often as I hear the title page quoted they say, you know, the Book

of Mormon was written to convince you and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, period, or Jesus

is the Christ the Eternal God, period.
