let me inject the positive side of that because one thing I've noticed, it was interesting to me

0:05.1

when I first started the Corby Report. I was expecting to get a lot of pushback against these crazy

0:10.3

9-11 truth ideas or what have you. It just so happened that I started the Corby Report at the exact

0:15.8

time of a rising tide of alternative media online. And so in fact, I didn't receive as much of that type of pushback

0:22.8

as I expected. But the biggest and strongest pushback I ever received was always on the global

0:28.7

warming issue. How can you possibly think that all of these climate scientists, how could they,

0:34.7

why would they be wrong? How could they possibly, do you think they're lying? Do you think they

0:39.1

could be motivated by anything other than pure scientific interest, et cetera, et cetera? And it was always

0:46.3

very difficult to respond to that, because if I responded with the scientific basis of, well,

0:51.6

okay, let's look at things like equilibrium climate sensitivity, and let's look look at the IPCC AR5 and let's look at what they say in figure 13 in this page.

1:00.0

And people would get sort of lost in that.

1:02.2

No, okay, but no, on the big scale of things, do you think they're lying?

1:05.6

And so then if I explain, well, okay, I think scientists are motivated by research grants, and I think the research grant

1:11.0

funding is actually overwhelmingly on the side of hype and playing these sorts of things up,

1:16.6

and you will only get things published if you say this particular phenomenon is due to

1:20.7

climate change, et cetera, et cetera. And then they'd go back to, well, what about the science

1:24.2

itself? So it was this eternal dance of trying essentially to argue people

1:29.2

out of the conditioning that they'd been propagandized into all of their lives. And that went on

1:35.7

for many years. But I note that in the last few years, I have received a lot less pushback

1:41.5

along those lines because suddenly some people, at least

1:45.7

people who are of the type who would question, for example, the government and what it has

1:49.8

done over the course of, say, the scam-demic, are suddenly starting to realize, hey, you
