Donald Trump's first year of his second term? Well, I think predictable. Look, Trump, when he was

elected in 2016, there was this kind of vague notion that Trump would

be interested in federalism. In fact, next year is the 10th anniversary of the Brian McLean

show. And the very first episode I did was in January of 2016 on Donald Trump. And I made the

case that, you know, he says things like, I'm going to look into that or that sounds interesting

he had these very vague statements but we know that Trump is a lincolnian and so I think the reaction

to things that's happened over the last year has been predictable he's acted as a lincolnian some people

like that some people don't I know we have this real debate in the right now about what we should do with the federal government. Should we go in and use it to own the libs and crush the opposition? Or should we be interested in dismantling the entire thing? Trump's not really ideological. He's more reactionary than anything. But I think that what the people around him have wanted to do is use that Lincolnian regime that they have

to go and enforce their positions. And so I don't think there's anything surprising about what
