Hi everybody. Tom Woods here. It is episode 2710 of the Tom Woods show, and I'm delighted to welcome Ilana Mercer and Walter Block to the program. Before I introduce them to you, let me say that people will sometimes say that you are quote unquote obsessed with the subject of Israel if you talk about it a lot. And it's by pure coincidence.

We had planned this out for weeks, as both our participants can attest. We had planned this out for

weeks. I had not known that I would have done a couple of episodes on Israel before this one.

It's just the way the schedule came out.

So no obsession on my part.

It's just a very important topic that everybody wants to talk about.

Nothing beyond that.

So let me introduce the two guests we have.

And then I want to explain to you what the purpose of this episode is.

It's probably evident from the title.

But we're going to look at what happened in Gaza after October 7th and talk about it,

because, of course, there's been a lot of debate about this.

For example, did this constitute a genocide on the part of the Israeli government and military. What was the extent of the

civilian suffering? There's been a lot of this debate where it seems like the two sides can't even

agree on the facts on the ground, much less the moral issues at stake. So Ilana and Walter have been

friends for quite some time, both Jewish, and they wanted an opportunity just to talk to each other.

And, you know, that's what the Tom Woods show is here for. I'm going to let them talk to each other.

I'm going to be, if not invisible, then a very, very minor participant in the conversation that's about to unfold.

I'm just going to try to make sure that roughly half the time is for one speaker and roughly
