I think being on a river and paddling is a really cool pace to see a landscape and kind of like move through a place

because it's slow enough that you're kind of always moving, but it's slow enough that you really get time to see places.

So, I don't know, I feel really lucky that I got the chance to do this and see so much, kind of cover so much ground,

Today I have Heather Hansman with us, and boy, Heather's going to be a fun interview.

Heather is a full-time freelance journalist, and in a previous life, she was a raft guide,

she was a ski bomb and a volunteer ski patrol.

And she grew up, actually, back east.

She was born in Massachusetts, I believe, and went to college in Maine.

But after college, she came to Colorado because she wanted to be the ski bomb and enjoy the skiing life.

And she got so good at that,

she ended up being editor for skiing magazine as well as powder magazine. So she's really been there

and done that. Then she moved to Seattle, where she's been for the last four years. But she came

back our way last summer and did an epic float trip down the Green River from Wyoming all the way to where
