If you've watched the documentary Take Care of Maya on Netflix, then you've heard the tragic story of the Kowalski family.

Ten-year-old Maya Kowalski had been diagnosed with a rare chronic condition that left her in excruciating pain.

While there, her mother, Biata Kowalski, demanded that Maya get higher doses of ketamine because of her intense pain.
