And as we start this new year, we're going to take a moment to reflect on one year of Javier Malay in Argentina.

As president there, he has shaken things up. He was shaking

things up with his rhetoric even before he actually got elected. And obviously there has been

great attention on him, not just in our community, our world, but the whole world has been a little

bit curious about this man. and he's developed an interesting

relationship with Donald Trump. So we'll see what winds up happening in the future, but we can

look back on this year and make an assessment and fill in some gaps and some details. And as I say,

I feel like almost everybody who listens to me has an interest one way or the other in

Javier Malay, whether they like them or they don't like them, they're interested in him.

And Scott Scheller here, who is a freestader from the free state of New Hampshire, has kept a

very close eye on developments in Argentina and what Malay has been up to. And I thought, you know, it's the new

year. And I know that Bono and you two say nothing changes on New Year's Day, but I don't know.

I feel like New Year's Day is an opportune moment or the new year. It's an opportune moment for

reflection. And that's exactly what we're going to do today. So, Scott, welcome.

conversation because there are so many things to say. So why don't we start with the situation that

Malay inherited when he first took office?

Yeah, the situation was absolutely perilous when Millay took office.
