It contains testimony about the school shooting that occurred in Parkland, Florida.

I realized after I had already scheduled it, that this episode is coming out right when

many people are getting ready to send their kids to school for this coming school year.

February 14, 2018, actually started out as a rather nice day.

It was Valentine's Day.

And the weather, typical South Florida February way, sunny, partly sunny, warm temperatures.

That's prosecutor Stephen Klinger talking to a jury about what happened on February 14,

2018.

At Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, although it started off

as a normal Valentine's Day, what would later unfold just before the school day would end,

was one of the largest school shootings in American history.

At 2.21 pm, a gunman entered the freshman building on campus.

Building 12 also referred to as building 1200, which held over 900 students.

He used an AR-15 style rifle as he made his way around some 30 classrooms in the building.

Students, teachers and staff hid behind locked classroom doors, sinking behind desks and

bookshelves, attempting to shield themselves from the barrage of gunfire that rained down

upon a once safe place.
