a very special guest none of the other guys could show up because I wanted to do this

one all by myself I'm a little selfish that way so uh for all the Marines out there

that can't read the description uh our guest today is is Mike Kroger and uh that's such a

great start for Marines yeah are you going to take a shot at all the branches in this

well we'll see how it goes up Mike man uh thanks for coming on the podcast

I'm happy to be here thanks for inviting me yeah for like the the three people out there

that may not know who you are or the band you're affiliated with if you wouldn't mind

just giving us a quick fact so my name is Michael Kroger and and um in our family we're

pronouncing Kroger with the like uh it sounds like two O's or a U um and uh I play the

bass guitar in a rock-a-roll combo called Nickelback from Vancouver Canada where you guys

like hit any level of success with that band or or how did that happen you know we just keep fighting

and uh you know it's uh it's I think it's one of those things where uh you know you as long

as you keep punching sooner or later there's no opponents left and and uh we're still punching

a lot of people don't really know um but you know we have actually um done things since 2005

you know we never stopped honestly and we just released our 10th album uh in November

the new records called Get Roll and for anybody who wants to go out and find it but um yeah we never

stopped uh the only thing that's actually had any success in slowing us down is COVID but

you know we're coming back out this summer uh you know now that we're we're allowed out of the house

and we're gonna we're gonna come out and uh play some tour dates in North America we're really excited

for that yep yep no I was I was looking at that and I actually I have the new album and I really

enjoyed it you know that that same Quentin song especially I think that's the first single off of it
