1:01.0	And it was during this week, there were several things on my mind.
1:05.7	One of them was, of course, that Thursday of this week was the 80th anniversary of the 6th of June, 1944.
1:15.6	The 80th anniversary, that was the Normandy Landings, that was D-Day.
1:22.6	And there's a movie that my family used to screen every 6th of June. It was called The Longest Day.
1:34.2	I think it's one of the biggest major movies that I don't recall had a woman, well, there weren't too many women in the cast,
1:47.4	but then when you think about the invasion of Europe in 1944, yeah, in those days, armies were male
1:55.2	just the way they are supposed to be. If you know how the world really works, then if you're a
2:03.6	soldier, you want your women safely at home with you fighting tooth and nail, ready
2:12.1	to shed blood, to defend them and protect them. What you don't want is a woman fighting alongside of you,
2:20.3	being captured or being injured and distracting you from the main purpose for which you are there.
2:29.3	Back in 1944, under the Supreme Allied Commander Dwight Eisenhower, General Eisenhower,
2:38.6	no, there weren't too many women landing on the beaches of Juno or Omaha or Sword on those beaches
2:46.6	of Normandy.
