Now, in order to get this show going and to clarify what it is we're going to be looking

at, I'm going to start off with something very basic indeed.

And that is that we live in a world of duality.

We seem to live in a world where twos matter very strongly.

And we're so used to it that we hardly give any thought to it, right?

We realize that a spectrum line runs between two ends, good and evil, right?

Black and white, light and darkness.

It's something we take for granted that a spectrum line doesn't have three ends any more than a piece of string has three ends. In fact, we could scarcely imagine a

world in which a piece of string would have more than two ends. But that is the dual nature of the world in which we live.

And so not surprisingly, the number two has special significance,

not just because you've got light and darkness and good and evil and black and white

and hot and cold,
