Joel, welcome to the show. How are you?

Hey, thanks, Mark. I am so excited to be here. How long have I been pestering you to do an episode

about Anne Rice? A couple of years probably. Yes. So let's give a little background about you. Who are you? What do you do? And why are you the person to talk about Anne Rice? Very good question. I am Joel Sharpton. I'm a podcast editor and consultant and video editor. I come from the world of radio.

I was born and raised in North Louisiana, Bastrop, Louisiana, to be specific, that's Bastrop,

not the other bad B word. It's a funny, quick story. There was a fairly famous Broadway play

written about Morehouse Parish during World War II when like a mother-in-law

and a daughter-in-law were living together and the husband and son were both away at war.
