Summary

This episode was inspired by a listener's request to cover setting more realistic goals as a topic. Here's the thing: while I don't think we need to necessarily worry about how "realistic" our goals are, I also think that we can get better at pulling ourselves off the brink of burnout in order to live the lives that we want to live.

But is it possible to do both? I think that it is - AND - that it's not only possible, but necessary. In this episode, I break down how and give real-life examples (literally from my life!) of what this process might look like!

0:52.8

through of like, get to work. And that is awesome,

0:56.5

if that's what you need. But I also think that simultaneously, part of what I'm really trying

1:01.8

to offer in my work, in my podcast, in all the content that I produce and in the teaching

1:07.4

that I do, is permission to pull back.

1:17.8

question that I had when I put a post up on Instagram and I said, what would you all

1:23.3

like to hear me talk about?

1:25.6

1:29.7

for a really, really long time. And I want to dive into that today and unpack it a little bit.

1:37.9

So before we get into that, oh, and the topic suggestion was, I'm not going to leave y'all hanging. The topic suggestion

1:45.9

that I had gotten was somebody saying, I need more help setting reasonable goals. Now,

1:53.4

I'll tell you in a minute why I had some, I want to push back on that a little bit. I have some
