Summary

We’re starting a brand new series on the character of Christ and how to practically live out His virtues in our everyday lives. This series will impact our relationships, everyone from family members, friends, co-workers, people we love, even those who have hurt us. We’ll be working our way through Colossians 3:12-15 where Paul talks about putting on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, along with forgiveness, love, gratitude, and peace.  First, we’ll set the essential groundwork of living from a place of security, calling, and belonging. When we know we’re chosen, set apart, and dearly loved by God (Col. 3:12), it changes everything about how we approach the fruit of the Spirit. This is not about trying harder but about living like who Christ says we already are in Him. For the full show notes visit kellyminter.com/podcast

Yeah. Access more. Welcome to the Cultivate Podcast, where you and I have the opportunity for about 30 minutes to jump into the truths of Scripture together in a way that I hope is just really accessible

1:04.3

and relatable for you. One of the ways that I try to keep it that way is by coming to you

1:10.3

from my dining room table.

1:12.2

In fact, I'm sitting here right now, and I am so happy just to be home.

1:17.8

I traveled for about 22, 23 years on and off just so much.

1:26.0

And the last several months, for the most part, I've really had the

1:30.9

blessing of being home more. And so it's been really great. In fact, I bought a bread grind,

1:38.9

not a bread grinder, a grain grinder where I can grind grain to make my own bread. So you can see I've gotten a little

1:46.4

nuts and I am really embracing the home life because I've turned into one of those people

1:52.3

that's making their own bread. Now, I'm not good at it at this point, but it's been really fun.

1:58.4

I order grain. It comes to me, and it's like,

2:02.5

it's like wheat berries. I mean, I didn't even know what this really looked like. And then I put

2:06.6

it into the grinder, and it grinds into flour. And then I make homemade bread. And then a couple

2:12.8

days ago, I made homemade chicken soup, which I love doing. I've been doing that for years. And don't even,

2:20.1

it doesn't even matter that it's 99 degrees outside because it is. And I am still making

2:25.8

homemade chicken soup. But I think part of it is this, I'm just loving, I'm loving being home.
