Hey everybody, Tom Woods here. You do not have to be a fan of the theater to appreciate this

episode, but I am going to mention the theater at the very beginning because that's where I got

the idea for today's topic. As many of you know, I am a big, big fan of the theater and I love

going to Broadway shows. Yes, I know all the problems about New York and I did not go to

any show when there were masks or certainly not vaccine mandates. I'm not going to do that, but

it is one of my, I wouldn't say quite guilty pleasure.

Is my old friend Jean Epstein shares my interest in this particular pastime, but anyway,

I want to start off by mentioning something that's going on on Broadway that is of relevance to you,

whether or not you care about the theater. I was looking at an article at Broadwaydirect.com

and the article is called a new 1776 for 2022. So the purpose of that, or the meaning behind that

headline is that there's going to be a Broadway revival of 1776, which is a historical musical.

And of course, it surrounds the decision for independence and the declaration of independence.

Well, no surprise there, right? It's a somewhat well-known musical. Revivals happen all the time
