Hi guys, good morning from London. I am so, so happy to be home. I'm so excited to tell you guys about being home, but I would be remiss not to open this podcast on a somber note because this week documents were leaked.

0:25.0

Um, that from the Supreme Court basically, Roe v Wade could be overturned. Um, and the implications of this are completely catastrophic. I'm spoke about it on Instagram.

0:42.0

And I'm speaking about it again here, um, because it deserves all of our attention, especially because predominantly women follow me, listen to me, um, and it is us who is under attack and under threat right now.

1:00.0

I like to be a place where people can come and have a break and and have a laugh, whatever's going on in their lives, but this isn't something that we can shy away from and this isn't something that, um, that we can ignore, um, or we can just push to the side because this is a full on crisis and emergency.

1:22.0

I mean, I don't need to tell you that I just need to tell you that we all need to activate and educate ourselves. I haven't had an abortion, but I've taken friends to get abortions, um, taking girls that I don't know that well in college.

1:39.0

And, and they've always been safe, you know, they've always been completely safe and they've been fine. Thank God, because we live in California and we have access to safe abortions and and health care and, you know what, I'll be honest, I'll be honest, because I live in California.

2:00.0

And because of a lot of other privileged reasons, I have never been worried, I've never worried like, oh, I have to to sneak around or I don't know what we're going to do.

2:10.0

And that's, that's my privilege talking, right? But for so many for a majority of women in this and girls, a majority of women and girls in this country, that is, that is just not the case.

2:24.0

So, I am matching any donation up to $200 to plan parenthood.

2:33.0

This week.

2:36.0

So, it's Friday. If you feel like screenshotting your donation to me, I will match it and going to make a big donation at the end of this week.

2:47.0

And what else am I going to do? Educate myself. How can I actually get involved and, and make a difference? It feels like we are going back in time. It feels frustrating. It feels scary.

3:03.0

And it's really upsetting. And I'm in it. We're all in it together because again, it is an attack on women, but specifically specifically, women of color.

3:17.0

And, and women who, who don't have the resources. So this is a direct attack on poor communities, because they're the ones who are going to suffer. Okay. This people will always get abortions. It's just about whether they're going to be safer not.

3:34.0

So, I, I'm not going to apologize for starting this podcast on a somber note because the, these are somber times.

3:44.0

So, with that being said, I want to move on with the show, but know that this is top of mind for me. And something that I'm going to continue to talk about on my show, on my platforms, because it really does transcend politics.

4:00.0

So in London, I'm home for 36 hours. That was a tough transition. Let's just all hold hands and say that. Absolutely no, absolutely no way to transition from all of women's basic human rights are being taken away to I'm home in London. Everything's nice. We had a nice breakfast, English fry up, but you know, there you go.

4:21.0

So, by the way, before I dive into London and I need to talk about more bad news, sorry, this is just going to be a bit of a bummer of an episode, but just saw that Dave Chappelle was attacked sadly on his show last night on stage. And for anybody who doesn't know, there's a concert or sorry, like a festival going on right now called Netflix is a joke.

4:45.0

And it's going on for a couple of weeks. It's in Los Angeles. I actually got to see Dave Chappelle not too long ago.

4:53.0

And yeah, apparently he was attacked on stage, which is absolutely horrific. It's very tight security and the thing about his shows is which I, which I actually really like is that they put your phone away. They lock your phone up.

5:07.0

So no one can record it and also just because like you should be present if you're watching a show. And apparently he was attacked. So don't know too much more about the situation.

5:18.0

So I'm in London, I'm home. It's really, really, really good to be home. I absolutely love it here. It's so annoying when people go to places and they're like, I want to move here. I want to move. Why did I ever leave that so millennial and chugie right to be like, what, what take me back?
