I'm almost a message to cross trainees give some examples of for for those new recruits that are sitting here going like okay well I'll come in and I'll do a different job first.

1:01.0

And then I'll cross train which is a bad plan going in unless of course there's some caveats to that which which will hit.

1:10.0

But this is kind of more of straight to a cross training. So let me try and paint the picture of a situation that I not that I have but that somebody that has contacted me and so.

1:26.0

1:47.0

You want to cross train you're you're in I don't know it could be any job and within the Air Force but you want to cross train into aspect war.

1:56.0

You have to still get you didn't have to in the past but now as of now you still have to get approval from your chain of command your commander your commander and correct me if I'm wrong because you're more.

2:10.0

In this world than I am but like the commander is the the kind of final authority to allow you to even try it correct.

2:19.0

You're commander and your like functional manager like your CFM okay so release it from the group film.

2:26.0

So basically those two approving signatures are the ones that allow you to then go to the pipeline.

2:33.0

Yeah they they you can they tell you you can put your paperwork in to apply and then you get to our functional managers.

2:41.0

You know after you get through all the other nonsense I really don't want to talk about it too much because I'm already all fired up and I'll start saying.

2:47.0

Okay so again like I said it didn't used to be that way it used to be you didn't have to get approval for a commander you could just as long as you got the the CFM or the ATC functional approval you could do it.

3:05.0

So what does that mean though now that means that your commander has direct oversight on whether or not you can do this.

3:17.0

3:34.0

3:46.0

But you still have a day job you still have a job that you have to do day to day whether you're an airman you're an NCO you still have you know whether it's a seven to four nine to five whatever you want to call it or if you're you know maintenance or security forces you're working 12 hour shifts right so after that 12 hour shift you still have to train and work out during that 12 hour shift you still have to be all in.

4:13.0
