Parts of South Florida are under quarantine after officials sounded the alarm about an

invasion of giant African land snails.

Don't worry, they won't be here for some time.

I mean, they're here, but you know, that's a snail joke.

They move slow.

Giant African land snails can grow to be nearly 8 inches long and they eat at least 500 different

types of plants.

Even more terrifying to South Florida residents, and I swear I'm not making this up, they've

also been known to consume plaster and stucco off of buildings.
