0:00.0 | All right, guys. |
0:14.9 | Full transparency with you. |
0:18.1 | Today is somewhat of a random episode. And I say that because I actually didn't |
0:22.6 | collect. I probably have questions in my inbox. I always have questions in my inbox. |
0:27.9 | And I could probably go into my email and Instagram DM and pull some things up. But I had |
0:32.5 | some like, I actually did have three random questions that sparked up just topics that I wanted |
0:37.4 | to cover. |
0:37.8 | So today's probably going to be a quicker one, but it's going to be more detailed. |
0:41.0 | And there's three things I want to talk about. |
0:42.4 | And the first one is being evidence-based as a coach or a practitioner. |
0:46.9 | The second one is inflammation, like going in depth on what is inflammation, what matters about it? |
0:54.0 | Excuse me, does it matter? What's the hype about? Do you even need to worry about it? And obviously, what causes it? And then cardio. You know, I had a question of like, what should I be doing realistically? If my goal is, you know, I'm going to say fat loss and hypertrophy because most people want to maintain strength and muscle at the bare minimum while they burn fat or maintain their leanness, whatever we want to, however we want to call it. |
1:22.2 | And the question was like, should I be doing four days of lifting, two days of cardio? |
1:25.5 | Should I do five days of lifting, two days of cardio, sprinkled in? |
1:28.8 | Should I do two a days? |
1:29.9 | Should I do morning cardio and p.m. lifting. |
1:33.1 | Three and three, just harder days, just one session each day, strengthen cardio, three and three. |
1:39.3 | There's so many different ways to do it and what is most optimal for you. So I'm going to kind of go into those three topics and just just kind of, I mean, I was about to say brush the surface, but we'll see if I, how in depth I really go. But the first one I want to talk about is evidence-based. You know, I had a question a while ago about being science-based, not evidence-based. But I want to say, I personally believe that science-based |
2:01.7 | versus evidence-based, it's very, very similar. It's pretty much the same thing. We're talking about |
2:05.8 | using science and research in the literature to guide our practice as a coach. I had a question of, |
2:14.4 | are you science-based? Like, they were literally asking asking about my coaching and they asked me if I was |
2:18.7 | science-based and I was kind of like, hmm, I've never been asked that when someone's inquiring |
