Hello and welcome to the Bikes for Death podcast. My name is Patrick and I'm your host.

This is a show that talks about bike packing, adventuring, and the cool people who participate.

On this episode, I have Vince Calvin, who is one of the owners of Chumba USA.

They are a bike manufacturer based out of Austin, Texas.

All their bikes are made in USA, and most of them are made by Mark,

their one and only frame builder in their shop in Austin, Texas. I met Vince at his house

and he had two single speed Chumbas set up. He was on his Cendero and he set up his Stella tie tie for me to ride and he showed me around some of the

austin trails some that i'd never ridden before um it was really neat we just rode straight from

his house hopped on some trails rode around for a couple hours uh and by the way vence shreds

he shreds so he doesn't just build really neat bikes. He actually rides them too,

which is great. But no, we had a great time. It was my first time riding single speed since I was

like a kid and on a BMX bike. We're going to talk about that more in the show, so I won't really

get into that right now. And afterwards, Vince bought me some tacos at a local taco joint, and it was real proper.

We ended up at his house afterwards and recorded a podcast, and that's what you're about to hear.
