20 what I'd like to talk about here initially is I think we need to take

care to think biblically or scripturally about technology.

I'm recording this in a studio.

There are all sorts of technological gadgets sitting around.

There's various lights everywhere I'm I'm timing

this with the stopwatch feature on my on my smartphone I'm I'm speaking into microphone, you're going to be listening to this by means

of some technological device or other, when you download it or when you're listening to it in your

car, whatever.

So our lives are surrounded by technology, we are immersed in technology, technology is everywhere.

And more than a few Christians have a good deal of nervousness about this.

They're nervous about technology, they're nervous about the internet, they're nervous about

smartphones, they're nervous about smart phones, they're nervous about

smart cars, they don't like the they don't like the fact that the refrigerator

might be spying on them for the CIA that sort of thing. Now of course there are all sorts of abuses that technology can be put

to but how are we to think about this biblically?

The best way that I know for processing this is to think of technology as a form of wealth.

If you looked up smartphones on your, in your concordance,

if you looked up smartphones in your Bible search software.

You wouldn't come up with anything.

The Bible doesn't talk about smartphones.
