I'm Ty Frank and not with me today is Wes Chatham.

Unfortunately, Wes ate a bad Twinkie and he's down for the count.

He's sick with, I don't know, what people used to call the stomach flu, but I guess it's just

food poisoning.

So instead, excuse me, I'm going through puberty, my voice is changing.

Instead, I've got Jeremy Medning, the cinematographer for The Expans, all six seasons.

And Javiera, our A camera operator, who's been with this, have you been five out of six or

four out of six?

I've been A camera five out of six, but I was here all six.

I was B camera on the first season.

That's right.

That's right, because Ange was A camera on the first season.

That is correct.

Okay, so today we just want to talk about in general the technical details of making

the expanse from a camera perspective. And I wanted to

mention that Jeremy, I think maybe the second person the expanse ever hired. Because when we

were developing the show and, you know, putting together the crew up in Canada, we hired a

director named Terry McDonough, the mad Irishman. And Terry

came in and argued very hard to hire this up-and-coming commercial cinematographer named Jeremy Benning,

said that this guy had this really unique visual style. Terry was a huge fan of his and thought

he would be great on the show. So,
