Welcome back to Ty and that guy. I'm Wes Chatham and I'm with my good buddy Ty Frank.

We're not going to do any expanse today. We're going to take a break from talking some

expanse crap and instead we're going to talk to one of Wes's friends and somebody that I've always been a

big fan of. So let's bring him in. And I want to tell, before we introduce him, I want to tell

a story that I think, well, it'll do a lot to introduce Jason. So years ago, I sat down and met

with Joel Schumacher for a film that he sadly never got to.

And we met at the Chateau Mont.

And our guest is a friend of mine.

And he said, oh, mentioned that I said hello.

And I sat down with Joel Schumacher and I brought up his name.

And he says, you know, in this business, there's a lot of different reasons that somebody

makes it or that somebody is successful as an actor. He said, sometimes people have a right look

and they're really lucky and they get the right opportunities and they get the right directors

that work them through. Sometimes people, it's a complex reason. It's very rare that somebody walks in and is just undeniable.

Their talent is undeniable.

Their level of understanding of the work is undeniable.

Their look is undeniable.

And he said that Jason Patrick was one of those guys.

And when he first met with Jason Patrick, he thought, when he was casting the movie

The Lost Boys, he thought, I can't have anybody else in this film but Jason, because Jason

would elevate this film.

And he really wanted, and he was dead set on Jason.
