Today we have a very special guest with us, Miguel, a former employee of disaster,

0:55.1

a major motion picture ride starring you. But before we get to that, let's check in with last

0:59.2

week's guest Jack from Park Ride History and see what he is up to. Hey Kevin and everybody else,

1:04.7

it's Jack from Park Ride History. You might remember last week when me and Kevin discussed some of

1:09.1

the upcoming changes that we'll be seeing over in Epcot, namely the implementation of different characters and IPs into that park. I do want to kind of retouch on some of the things from that episode now just with a little bit more info. For example, at the beginning, we briefly discussed Disney's archival process for the parks, and after a little bit more research, I have found that they do actually have some of the original pieces of film for a few of the movies used in Epcot. An example of that would be something like symbiosis from the land pavilion. But once again most of the stuff they have or at least the stuff they're showing us was all more of a hindsight decision and they never really had an active archive. It was mostly stuff they ended up finding later or realizing was important years after an attraction's closure. As for the attractions we discussed, not too much has actually happened news-wise with any of them. The soon-to-be-replaced movie in the China Pavilion is still running. Mission Space managed to relaunch without any issues, and Ellen's Energy Adventure was able to wrap up its final days of operation without any major issues. But besides all that, there really isn't anything to report on that we haven't already said on the podcast. But overall, I do think the whole episode was a really fun and important discussion to be had, and I'm glad you guys enjoyed and partook in that same discussion as well. It always makes me happy to see that all of you, no matter what your opinion might be, all actually do care about these parks and want to see them do well in the future, no matter what path they might end up going down. Overall, I think the whole episode and its reception went very well, and I'm really glad to see that. But that's more than enough out of me for right now, so let me just throw it back over to Kevin and let you guys get into this week's discussion. Thanks, Jack. I would also like to mention that I have reached out to an employee of Earthquake the Big One and there will be an article on defunctland.com with that interview in the near future. Now let's get to our main guest today, former disaster employee Miguel. Welcome. It's been a pleasure to be here with you. How are you today? I'm doing good. How are you doing? Fantastic.
