Summary
Sometimes we have parenting questions that can be awkward, right? And there’s times we need an honest discussion on a topic, but we aren’t sure where to start. In this Pardon the Mess mini-series, Janet Denison answers some of the more awkward or tough questions we face as we raise our kids. We’ve kept these podcasts short and to the point. They are not intended to be the only answer, but a starting point as you go to the Lord with all of your parenting needs. | 0:55.4 | and try to help them not to die. And so, I mean, yes, there's all stages of life and parenting. |

| 1:13.4 | not just their current age. And so you want to step back regularly and say, okay, this is how I might |
| 1:22.2 | react in this moment, but what does that say to the bigger picture? The real question you want to ask yourself |
| 1:28.3 | is what kind of life do you want your children to have when they're 30 years old and 35 |
| 1:33.3 | years old and 40 years old? What kind of person do you want your child to be as an adult? I think |
| 1:40.9 | sometimes we parent in such a way as to raise successful children, but we've all known some adults that were still successful children. |
| 1:51.9 | And you want to make sure you don't parent to teach your kid how to stay a kid. |
| 1:58.3 | And so amazingly, that question will give you a different perspective. |
