All right, everybody. Welcome back. Sam's Army episode two point one eighty one. We got a lot to talk about today, and it is all going to be about USA England, which I know everybody on both sides of the pond has their entire life force focused on at the moment.

And for this week's episode, we got a we got an interesting little panel here. We were going outside the norms here. It's me and I'm surrounded by two gingers one from England, one from the US.

Good guys. So let's let's not, you know, let's let's come at it from a positive spin, but yes, we do have an Englishman here. Be nice to him. Dan, I'm just going to call you nodding him, Dan. What would you prefer to call Dan?

That's not to him, Dan English, Dan, New York, Dan, any Dan is fine. Okay, nodding him, Dan, English, Dan, whatever, Dan. And then of course everybody's favorite ginger on this side of the pond. We got Tim Parker back.

Tim, I, you are not in St. Louis right now, but I am in St. Louis. I just came from the house that Tim Parker in the future built.

New stadium, St. Louis city SC, a very nice stadium, I will say, very nice. I cannot wait to get to a game there. What have you heard so far about your new environments?

It's actually kind of a funny story. I've actually found out that a lot of people I know I have connections to St. Louis. So I'm hearing a lot about the city. Obviously, a lot about how much of a soccer town St. Louis is so I'm excited to kind of get there and get and experience that.

My dad's been telling me about soccer being the bedrock, the hometown of soccer, the capital soccer for decades.

Even when I was just starting out, he's not much of a soccer fan, or at least he wasn't when I was growing up, but he was already telling me about basically all these St. Louis kids are the ones who went to the 1950 World Cup. And by the way, beat England, by the way, just by the way.

So that'll get us started off on the right note. So what we're talking about here is USA, England, just to set the stage for anybody who was literally living under a rock.

England came out in their first game and rocked Iran's world.

Six to two, I think was the final. And that was a shell lacking an impressive performance from from the wanks over there.

Us on the other hand, we we lost one one to Wales as everybody knows it was a good performance for part of the game, first half.

And we as I so eloquently described it on last podcast, we turned into turdly little bitches and sort of gave away what I think was three points ended up with one.

So that is the setting the stage we now come into this game, we being the US needing a result.

And whereas England just needs a win and they move on. So, okay, boys.

I don't know how we started. Let's give English Dan the the conch shell real quick.

Give us give us your thoughts on, you know, England's performance and sort of what you what you're thinking right now.

Yeah, so I think it's only natural that as an Englishman, I'm pessimistic, even after a six to win.

But on the on the upside, right, I think maybe it's been overlooked because some of the other teams have handed out droppings and the days since.

But Iran had conceded, I think, five goals in their previous 16 games.

Set up to defend and it's quite hard to break a team down whoever is international level.
