Jackie is, oh, what's the best way to describe you in my life?

You were my postpartum doula teacher, my guru.

Jackie has been supporting families as a doulas since 1993, under the working title.

I help out when people have babies.

I just love that title so much.

I help out when people have babies because I feel like that's the best way to, yeah,

that's the best way to describe that sometimes, isn't it?

That's still accurate.

That's still accurate today, although extensive training and certifications

entitles her to use a more official sounding doula, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor.

In the years that followed, Jackie has become a professional birth dula and dula trainer.

In 2002, she became Dona's director of postpartum

services and co-founder of their postpartum certification program. For 12 years, she served with the

organization's leadership as a board member as program mentor. She has supported thousands of

families as well as thousands of doulas. Every family and every
