The evidence in this case is going to show they changed Mr. Edgecom.

In the last court junkie episode, I told you about Theodore Edgecom, who went on trial

for the first degree intentional homicide of Jason Cleerman.

We know that on September 22nd, 2020, there was some sort of altercation between Theodore

and Jason that led to Theodore shooting Jason, instantly killing him.

The state's version of events is that Jason and his wife, Evangelinea, were driving down

Brady Street in Milwaukee when they swerved to avoid hitting a bicyclist, ended up being

Theodore Edgecom.

Jason yelled out something from his window and Theodore then proceeded to approach the

vehicle and punch Jason in the face before riding off.

The Cleerman's car followed him and Jason got out and approached Theodore.

Theodore then pulled out his gun and shot Jason in the head.

Today, we're going to go over what the defense says happened.

In his opening statement, Theodore's attorney, B.I.V. Lamar, told the jury there were actually

two incidents that occurred that night prior to the shooting.

The first was when the Cleerman's actually struck Theodore with their car.

The second was when Theodore then approached the car when it was at a stoplight and punched

Jason.

After that, Lamar said Theodore was done with it and just wanted to get on with his

night.

But Jason told his wife to follow him and so she did.
