Hello and welcome to the Modern Maker podcast for Thursday August 27th 2020 otherwise known as

Just Because Day just because.

Oh like you will do something just because. Just because. Oh, like you'll do something just because.

No good reason. What's the last time you built something just because? Oh, man.

How long are you play? How many ideas are you planned out? Like how many ideas are you planned out like how many projects do you already know what you're going to be building next?

None just because no actually I know one that's okay kind of half of a one. That keeps it interesting then because you're always thinking. Yeah, just because I just try and say like two or three for the same reason. Otherwise you go through the motions too much. It's a little bit like just

assembling a puzzle if you've got it too figured out. You got to wing it a little bit.

Gotta wing it. You got to wing it at least a little.

I have a list of about 30 projects and I kind of just move three or four of them at a time to the active list.

That's sort of it, yeah. And then knock off which other one sort of fits with other things I got scheduled.

And I'll try to like pair them up with things that are sort of complementary or have similar lag times, right?

So if I'm doing something with concrete,

then I'll know there'll be some downtime

while I'm waiting for that to cure,

and so then I'll move to a different type of project during the cure time.
