Hi guys, welcome. I'm Liz Wheeler. This is the Liz Wheeler show. You should have heard the blooper that we just had to bust the show for and retake.

0:06.6

Apparently I struggle with speaking English, even though that's what I do for a living right here on the show.

0:11.4

So an article that I just read really got my goat, if you will. I don't think I've ever felt or I haven't in recent history felt as huffy after reading an article as I felt after reading this one. The New York Times truly is a garbage outlet.

0:25.2

Which we knew, but this is a whole different level. So what I want to talk about on the show today is this article this New York Times article that is targeting this is the title of it. Let me bring up the exact title.

0:35.2

The maternal instinct is a myth that men created is the title of that article. So I want to talk about that article. It is the most anti woman article that I have ever read. It's the content of it is actually more misogynistic than many rap songs.

0:50.4

It is disgusting. I wanted to bunk some of the lines that are especially pernicious just to make sure that these don't become prevalent in our society.

0:59.4

Also, the MTV video music awards just happened and they haven't they had an obvious agenda included in their awards show that was aimed towards kids and let's just say this agenda rhymed with bloomer.

1:14.4

Yes, that's right. The MTV music music awards. They're essentially grooming kids here. So what these two things the New York Times article and the MTV movie or video music awards what they have in common. That's what I really want to talk about today.

Let's dig into this.

1:47.8

All right, I love cozy earth because it has been so hot lately. I've been having trouble sleeping through the heat. I know I'm not alone in this. Let me ask you, how did you sleep last night?

2:06.8

If you answered this question, well, not so great or just okay or please don't ask, well, you are not alone, my friend, one out of every three Americans report being sleep deprived and your sheets could be part of the problem.

2:20.0

That's why I like cozy earth sheets. The wrong sheets can trap body heat, leaving you boiling one minute and freezing the next. You know exactly the feeling that I'm talking about, especially in the heat of the summer.

2:30.8

There's a solution to this though, it's called cozy earth sheets. They're the softest most luxurious and best temperature regulating sheets on the planet. It's like sleeping on a cloud, which makes sense because they're made from bamboo, which allows cozy earth sheets to breathe.

So you sleep at the perfect temperature.

Okay, so let's start here. We'll get to the New York Times article in just a minute here, but let's start with the MTV video music awards that happened this past weekend.

3:23.4

There was such a clear agenda that was different from anything that we've seen from the MTV VMA awards before it was maybe the MTV's most pernicious secret that suddenly as of this weekend is no longer a secret.
