| 0:00.0 | Hi everyone, welcome back to Bad on Paper Podcasts. I'm Grace Atwood and I'm Becca Freeman. |
| 0:25.1 | Today is our first guest star episode. We are in Sao Lita, Mexico with one of our best friends, Jackie. |
| 0:33.6 | Jackie is a writer for Sephora and an infinite wealth of skincare knowledge. So we're so happy to have her with us and to have a little bit of her expertise. |
| 0:44.2 | Yeah, skincare and beauty has been one of our most popular topics that people have asked questions about since we started and we're excited to have somebody who's actually an expert |
| 0:53.6 | because Grace and I can really only speak to our own routines and skin types. So before we get into it though, let's do some highs and lows. Grace, what is your high? |
| 1:04.3 | I think my high has been all of the shopping that we've done in Sao Lita. I generally don't shop a lot on trips because I'm just like either doing like museums or beaches and whatever. |
| 1:14.2 | And the shopping here has been insane. Everything is pom-pombed. It's like embroidery heaven. I don't know how after we finish reporting I have to go and pack my suitcase and I don't know how I'm going to do it because there's so much stuff in here. |
| 1:27.9 | But it's been the best trip and I also really shopped a lot. What thing are you most excited about that you bought for yourself? For me, it's probably the crazy white cover up that you didn't like. |
| 1:40.2 | I didn't like it, but that doesn't mean it's not my style. But I love it. It's very me. It's crazy. I look like I weigh like a thousand pounds in it, but it's amazing. |
| 1:48.2 | So my high is just more generic. I mean, my high is just being here. I've had a pretty shit summer and finally being on a trip and being with some of my best friends and being in this place which is so beautiful and so relaxing. |
| 2:05.1 | If you follow either of us on Instagram or about on paper on Instagram, you've probably seen a supposed ton of photos of our sick pool or staying in this super cute Airbnb. |
| 2:15.8 | It's so inexpensive too. I'm going to have a whole blog post up with a travel guide and I'm going to link everything we did. So it'll be there. |
| 2:23.6 | Yeah, it's just been so nice. We're having such a low key time. There's not much to do here. So we've generally just been getting up and hanging around the house. |
| 2:32.2 | We have this cool outdoor living area with like couches. So we've been doing a ton of reading. We go in our pool, take naps and then go into town in the afternoon and get dinner. |
| 2:45.3 | Like it's been so nice and relaxing. And Grace and Jackie are leaving tomorrow, but I keep forgetting that I'm not done with vacation. I get to go to Mexico City after this. |
| 2:56.5 | So I'm super excited for that too. Maybe that'll be my high next week. Yeah, I think it probably will be her Airbnb for Mexico City looks amazing. |
| 3:05.8 | So I think I already know this, but tell me you're low. Oh my god. It took us 36 hours to get here you guys. So we were in the La Guardia Airport, like the very worst terminal of all of La Guardia. |
| 3:19.8 | The terminal that basically only has an anti-ans pretzels and a Hudson news and nothing else. Yeah, apparently there's a dentist office there, but I think that's a lot. I had a reader DM me saying, well, there's nothing there, but there is a dentist office. |
| 3:33.3 | When would that come in handy? I don't know. I was like, this is not helpful. I need a bar. Yeah. There was a bar. There was a bar and it wasn't very good. It was very chunky. Those chicken fingers were good though. Yeah. Keep going. |
| 3:45.4 | So we're in La Guardia from 7 a.m. until 5 30 p.m. We finally got a flight, not a direct flight to Dallas, a flight to Atlanta. They then split Becca and I up on different flights. |
| 3:58.9 | So she got into Atlanta earlier than me and then on an earlier flight got into Dallas at maybe 10. Yeah. I landed at midnight. |
| 4:08.4 | Becca luckily got the really delightful American Airlines customer service team to get us a room at the airport Sheraton. So we slept there for about five hours, six hours maybe. |
