“Evidence-based” bodybuilding peaking is somewhat of a misnomer, at least for all aspects of peaking at this stage of the game. Being able to construct a hypothesis based on physiology, is not the same as testing it. While we have empirical support that carb loading likely does enhance muscle size and appearance, the so-called “drying out” process that many bodybuilders partake in hasn’t been studied, until recently. Join us in this episode as we discuss recent studies that assess the relationship between body water and bodybuilding success, and actually draw into question some traditional narratives.”

0:04.0 | We had a little bit of controversy in that last episode. |
0:09.0 | I don't remember what it was, but I think it's just because I've become so numb to controversy at this point that I just expect it. |
0:16.0 | Yeah. |
0:17.0 | Yeah, they are always after us. So it's a constant attack. It's not a persecution complex |
0:24.0 | on our end. It's a legitimate, definable threat, you know, existential threat to us. We had Joe Sullivan |
0:31.8 | on. We perhaps mentioned, I'm not sure what it's canon, we spoke about Kevin Costner's filmography in a previous |
0:39.5 | episode, and we both agreed, that's how Eric is in Sympatico with me, why we're stuck together. |
0:46.2 | I asked you what's his best work, and he said, ironically, Waterworld, and we started laughing, |
