There's an old saying when it comes to really sticking it to somebody twice.

They say it adds insult to injury.

And if Texas is able to knock off TCU at home Saturday where they currently sit as the

seven point favorite, it would be just that.

Let me explain.

The Long Horns have decided to take up a membership at Globo Gym, aka the SEC, and along

with Oklahoma that will gut the two biggest brands out of the Big 12, taking lots of dollar

signs and potential championships success along with it.

Now that didn't say the Big 12 isn't replacing them with good markets, excuse me, I mean

teams.

But we all know how big Texas, Oklahoma football is.

When you think of the Big 12, there's the first two teams that pop into most people's minds.

So overall, it will be a net loss for the conference.

But Texas could deal a blow that would impact 2022 on their way out to their soon ex-conference

by taking away their biggest and most hopeful chance for a college football playoff birth.

Now TCU is the guiding light in the Big 12 right now and they're sitting undefeated.

But a slip up against Texas on the road would open up the door for a one loss packed

well champion.
