Today we'll be telling the story of our Lady of Fatima,

whose feast is celebrated on May 13th.

In 1917 in Fatima Portugal, the Blessed Virgin Mary made a series of appearances to

three Shepherd children, Lucia, Francisco, and Yesinta.

During the course of the year, she appeared to them many times, usually on the 13th of every month.

The Virgin Mary talked to the children about the importance of prayer and repentance

and asked them to pray the Rosary daily to bring peace to the world.

The apparitions at Fatima were officially approved by the Catholic Church in 1930 and today millions of pilgrims visit the sanctuary

of Our Lady of Fatima the shrine built on the original apparition site every year.

Now it's time for our story. Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinto, watch their sheep grazing on the fresh green grass on the slopes of the field.

The children were happy, enjoying the sunshine and the fresh smell of spring.

It was a beautiful day and they were having a great morning.
