Those are the systems we built to catch terrorists, and they were turned against the American people.

And the language was just manipulated to say, well, these people have violent extremist ideas because they go to a Latin mass.

It was the most preposterous thing I had ever read, and I thought to myself, how did we get this far?

And as we do our best to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

we are constantly thinking about the truth claims behind the positions that people are arguing about

because ultimately political debates aren't about politics. They're really about our

understanding of reality and what is true. So in the U.S., the conflicts, the conflicting worldviews,

are typically Judeo-Christianity versus secularism. So the reason that we disagree about men and

women's sports is fundamentally because we have a different understanding of where our

identity comes from. Do we define that for ourselves, or does God define that for us?

But globally, it's not just Judeo-Christianity versus secularism. In some cases, the greatest challenge to a

Judeo-Christian worldview is not from secularism, but from Islam. Israel, Scandinavia, France,

England, and to a lesser degree, the United States are all dealing with what amounts to a clash of civilizations.

That is fundamentally religious.

But it has huge implications for the future.

My guest today has a unique perspective on all of this.
