Last week, there was some pretty big news relating to lockdowns.

A peer-reviewed study from Stanford University Researchers was published in the European

Journal of Clinical Investigation.

That sounds very important.

That was January 5th. It evaluated COVID-19 responses around the world and found that mandatory lockdown orders may not provide significantly

more benefits to slowing the spread of the disease than other voluntary measures.

They analyzed coronavirus case growth using mathematical models in 10 countries, which used

lockdowns differently.

Those countries used lockdowns differently.

And they determined that there was, quote, no clear significant beneficial effect of more restrictive measures

on case growth in any country.

Okay, so then not long after that, I'm not saying one was causal to the other, but not long

after that, one of the biggest proponents of lockdowns, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, admitted that lockdowns are more harmful than beneficial.

He tweeted and included in his state of the state address saying,

We simply cannot stay closed until the vaccine hits critical mass. The cost is just too high.

We must reopen the economy.

Without making moves now, the state would have, quote, nothing left to open.

New York and his biggest city in New York City, of course, have had some of the most aggressive

lockdown restrictions in the country since
