We originally had a guest planned for today, but we weren't able to get the episode recorded

due to some red tape at the guest company. So we had to quickly

pivot and have decided to air one of our bonus episodes we originally put together for our

patrons back in April. This year, we launched a new bi-monthly bonus series for our patrons called

unscripted. In unscripted, some combination of Catherine, Susie, and I riff on a general

bookish topic in a very loose way. And I do mean very loose. This is probably the loosest thing we do.

It's often been all three of us on these unscripted episodes so far. Our unscripted topics can be

anything, something interesting going on in the book world, our own reading

this topic in a couple different ways today. We first of all talk about our personal auto buy author criteria.

Then we go into auto buy authors in three different categories. Number one is our straight up

auto buy authors exactly what you think of when you think of the word auto buy. Number two,

our former auto buy authors. These are authors who used to be auto buy for us, but no longer are.

And then finally, our auto avoid authors. These are authors who we've tried maybe once or twice,

and we now know enough about them to know that they do not work for our personal reading taste.
