Summary

Eighteen months ago I started working with a business coach. It was the end of 2021 and I was, frankly, falling apart in several ways. In an effort to make something (anything) work, I hired business coach Retha Nichole to help me figure out how to prioritize the various aspects of my online work. I wanted to feel less scattered and I wanted to make more money. At first, I felt embarrassed that I needed outside help with my business. And it wasn't an overnight fix. It has taken me almost two years (and multiple launches) to see all that has come out of this relationship, both emotionally and financially. 0:49.1	18 months I've been working with a business coach and for a variety of reasons I've been working with a business coach.
0:52.8	And for a variety of reasons,
0:54.6	I've mostly kept this working relationship private.
0:58.3	One of those reasons that I kept it so private
1:01.6	is that I didn't feel worthy of having a business coach at all.
1:07.0	Even though I have been writing and working on the internet for over a decade, very seriously, and treating it and to admit that I needed coaching in this area, that I was paying for coaching in this area.
1:27.5	I don't know why I got so tangled in my head about it, but part of it was definitely a worthiness issue in thinking that my business was
1:37.7	worthy of this investment, and the other part of it was feeling like I wasn't smart enough to handle my business on my own,
1:50.4	like having to admit that I needed help with something that I had done so low for so long and
1:56.8	wanted to be seen as competent in and here I was really needing a lot of help and coming to a crossroads in my business.
