It is Wednesday, May 12th, and we are reporting, you know, we're recording, I said reporting,

we're recording later in the day because it's been, it's been a big news day, there's

a lot of different things happening, but they all turn in different ways on the events

of January 6th. We've had a hearing up on Capitol Hill that is about the insurrection,

and the main witness is the former acting secretary of defense, the guy who was in charge on January 6th,

and we're going to talk about that, some several news developments that came out of that,

and as we have discussed many times on the site and on the podcast, there's we have a broad

sense of what happened on January 6th. We know a lot and we know we have some, we have a bare

bones understanding of what was happening on the administration side, what Trump was doing,

what they were doing at the Pentagon, what other players knew and what they did. We know that

Kevin McCarthy called President Trump at one point and said, hey, call your, you know, get your

people to stand down. And we seem to know in a very general sense that basically when the,

when the insurrection is broke their way into the Capitol complex, President Trump's original

feeling was awesome. These guys, you know, they really care about the stolen election.

And then there was this, you know, maybe it's all over a period of 90 minutes or something like

that, but there's people calling from Capitol Hill, hey, we're in trouble here. Trump is at least
