Hello, friends and welcome back to the Bikes for Death podcast.

As always, my name is Patrick and I'm your host.

And on today's episode, I'm talking with Katia Rachmar Unlina about her recent Colorado Trail

race win.

She finished with a time of five days, one hour, and 53 minutes, which was fast enough to get the fastest known time for the Colorado Trail.

The last FKT was set by Alexander Houchin back in 2019, so that record has been up for a little while.

Prior to the Colorado Trail race, Katia came in second place to Lale at the Tour Divide.

And at Colorado Trail Race, the rolls were reversed, and Lale finished second to Katia.

So both of them will be lining up for the Arizona Trail Race, and I guess we've got a little bit of a race on our hands. We'll have to see what happens. Of course, with these long events, anything can happen. So anybody could win, and that's what makes them so exciting to watch. But this time, Katya found herself at the finish line first, and it was my pleasure to talk to her about her experience, both at the Colorado Trail Race and at the Tordivide.

So I absolutely enjoy talking to her.

I am so excited that she was willing to come on the podcast and share her experience with us.
