On The Simple Show, I talk with other people about what that looks like for them.

In this episode, I'm talking to Brady and Amber Black, friends of mine for several years now,

who both run an art business online and work in Beirut, Lebanon, in a home for abandoned and

refugee children.

Brady is a super gifted artist.

Our whole family loves his stuff.

And Amber is great in the business side of things.

So we talk about how they left what they knew to start over and do work together that fits them well.

We also talk about their work in Lebanon, what they're seeing on the front lines with the refugee crisis,

what their day-to-day life is like in this home for kids,

and how they manage to stay sane and have a sense of humor in spite of all the chaos they're surrounded by.

Now, keep in mind that we've recorded our conversation with them in Lebanon,

and much like a previous episode where I chatted with Jeremy and Jessica Courtney in Iraq,

the connection here is a bit spotty and goes in and out some.

It's just the nature of what it's like when you've got internet coming from that part of the world.
