Summary

Hey, remember the Enneagram? 😄 It’s not everywhere like it used to be, but we still lean on it a lot—first in our marriage, and now in parenting too!

There are 3 questions that have really helped us bring a little more balance to how we parent. It’s not about figuring out your kid’s “type” or putting them in a box—it’s more about noticing how they move through the world and helping them grow in the areas where they might struggle.

In this episode, we’re getting into the 3 stances (or triads) of the Enneagram and how they show up in our kids—and sharing the questions we’ve been asking to help guide them as they grow.

We're going to talk about something that has been extremely powerful for us as parents and very,

0:18.8

very practical, something that you could start doing with your kids

this week. Yeah, not just help. Not just as parents, but as individuals. True. Right. I mean,

0:27.9

this was a huge. That's how it started for us. Yeah. That's how started for us. It's how started for us.

0:31.3

It was an individual catalyst of understanding, going inward and learning more about me and in turn learning more about you. And that

0:40.2

really, I would say, evolved our relationship massively. And we've carried that over to being parents

0:46.3

and kids and stuff. We're going to try to keep this episode really short because we want you

0:50.0

guys to like get the takeaways and go and practice this. So we're going to try to not be super

0:54.2

long and rambly like we normally are. And we haven't talked about this topic in a really

0:59.7

long time. It's something we used to talk about when we started our podcast back in 2019,

1:04.5

18. Yeah. The OG days. We talked a lot about the Enneagram because it was a super,

1:10.2

super helpful tool for us in our marriage

1:12.5

to our marriage specifically at the time before we had kids and then has since been a powerful tool

1:19.3

we just don't talk about it as much anymore and I feel like the trend of the intergram kind of died

1:23.1

in 2020 after it got like way oversaturated and over talked about.

1:27.9

Yeah, but the use case, the usefulness obviously didn't die.

1:31.3

It's just not what everyone's talking about.

1:32.8

And we're not going to talk, dive into like enneagram numbers, specific stuff in this episode.

1:37.6

We're specifically going to talk about anagram stances.

1:40.8

Yeah. And I'll explain what that is, but if you don't know anything about the Enneagram, just a quick,
