I have a fantastic conversation today with none other than the John Eldridge.

Many of you probably recognize that name as he is the author of the book Wild at Heart,

which is a staple must read for everyone.

He has a new book, Experience Jesus, Really.

And I love that emphasis on like, really.

Because that's, I mean, that's what we've been talking about here on the show for many months now is

how do we get back to this experiential relationship with God?

A relationship where you can hear the Holy Spirit's whispers and you experience God on many

planes and in many aspects throughout every single day.

The ontology of God plays out and you can tap in and tune

in to this relationship, which is something that seems to have become elusive in our current

day and age. So we dive all into that. Why is experiencing Jesus become so elusive?

And what does it look like to kind of roadmap ourselves back into this relationship?

There's a vernacular that John uses in this book and he's trying to bring back into the Christian space,

which I think is really healthy, and that is a return or a remembering of maybe the mystic

roots of Christianity, where we came from. Like, let's get back there. So we discussed Christian

mysticism and that vernacular and maybe some of the misconceptions around that word. And, you know,

some people either, A, don't really understand it.

So they're grouping that word into a box that they just don't want to deal with or like,

beware of that or don't go there.

But I promise you, it's not a bad word.
